Atelier de l’Émail manufactures all types of enamelled nameplates: street numbers and nameplates, individually or in medium series, for public authorities.
The special feature of our printing process is that we can personalise each sign.
So, in addition to the name of the street, for example “rue Victor Hugo”, you can print a background depicting the writer. Or you can add your local authority’s coat of arms or logo, or an old postcard-style photo…
Everything is possible.
You have two options:
- either you supply the files ready to print and our team prepares the proof before printing
- or you send us your elements and we take care of the layout of your decor. Once the project has been validated, we will send you a proof before printing.
Our printing process is similar to screen printing in that it differs in process. In screen printing, the decoration is applied to the already vitrified enamel plate.
At Atelier de l’Émail, the printing is done on a dry biscuit of enamel before the final vitrification. The result is a product with the same technical specifications as a screen-printed product.
How do I make an enamelled plaque?
And at what price?
Having an enamelled plaque made costs less than you think. Once you’ve decided on the format and hanging system, you have two options:

1 – determine the dimensions and shape (rectangular, round, oval, heart-shaped, etc.)
2 – You decide on the fixing system, depending on whether the plaque is to be mounted, fixed, etc. If you simply want to place it on a support, we won’t drill the plate, but if you want to fix it to a surface, we’ll provide holes with protective eyelets.
3 – you choose one of these two options:
you create your own plate:
The file supplied must be of good quality for optimum printing: minimum resolution of 4000 x 3000 pixels at 300 dpi, ready to be printed.
you would like us to design your plaque:
You can provide us with original elements: images, logos and photos, which must be in high definition on a computer medium, and texts entered in Word format.
In both cases, our team is on hand to offer guidance.
Once we have received your elements, we will produce a mock-up of your plaque for approval.
