Addressing law (3DS) at the heart of discussions at the Vosges local government exhibition
The Atelier de l’Émail regularly carries out orders for town halls, tourist offices and communities of communes, and had a stand at the Vosges local authority exhibition organised by the Vosges Mayors’ Association in November.
The workshop’s latest creations were on display: tourist signs, educational trails, commemorative plaques and, of course, street signs and numbers.
It was the latter in particular that attracted the attention of elected representatives, especially those from municipalities with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants who, since June 2024 and the promulgation of the 3DS law, have been obliged to give names and numbers to roads that previously had none…
And revising all the addressing means that all the street signs have to be redesigned.
A number of local authorities in the Vosges have already placed orders, taking advantage of the change to revisit and redesign their street signs. Some have asked for old photos to be printed, while others have asked for a design under the street name.
