Discover enamelling with the Bruyères tourist office (Vosges)
As a local industrial partner of the Bruyères Tourist Office, we are happy to open the doors of the factory to showcase our expertise. Twenty or so people turned up for the first event of the season. It was an opportunity to introduce them to our custom enamelling business and also to the Atelier de l'Émail, our enamel plate printing workshop.
After an introduction to the history of the site by Philippe Divoux, one of the people behind the installation of the enamelling plant at Deycimont, the group discovered the process of enamelling cast iron, from shot-blasting to firing. They then headed to the workshop, where Richard Jeanpierre, the site manager, presented the innovative process used to manufacture the plates. Manufacture Vosgienne d'émaillage invested in this ancillary activity three years ago.
